The Calico Group is made up of the following companies – employing approximately 450 people across the North of England – with a shared vision: to provide quality services that make a difference to people’s lives.

Calico Homes Limited owns and manages approximately 4,600 homes in Lancashire and aims to make a difference to the quality of life of individuals and the wider communities in which it works. We provide accommodation for families and older people, plus student housing, supported housing and services for homeless people.

Calico Enterprise Limited works with a host of organisations to deliver a range of services across the North West that: provide housing-related support; tackle worklessness; and give information and advice. Such services include: Calico Interiors; Constructing the Future Lancashire; Help Direct; and Floating Support contracts.

SafeNet (formerly ELWRA) provides services across Lancashire for victims of domestic violence and abuse. It is a registered charity and joined The Calico Group in April 2011.

Acorn Treatment Services provide a range of innovative drug and alcohol rehabilitation services across the North West, including reduction and motivation programmes, treatment programmes, combined treatment programmes, support accommodation, and social enterprise.

Whitworth Care Trust is a charity which operates Sunnyside Rest Home and Sunnybank Day Centre, providing a range of services, including day services, luncheon clubs and meals on wheels.

Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction LLP undertakes maintenance and house building contracts on a commercial basis for a variety of clients across the North West.

Calico has ‘Investors in People Gold’ accreditation, 3 Star ‘Best Companies’ status – “an extraordinary employer” – and was placed 9th in the 2014 Sunday Times ‘Best 100 Companies to Work for’ (the sixth year in succession that we have finished in the Top 100).
