Online clothes giant Boohoo have secured a unique partnership with Burnley FC in the Community to boost health amongst their workforce, as well as providing a match day experience like no other for their employees.
BoohooMAN, the men’s clothing range from the fashion giant, have become title sponsors of the popular Burnley FC in the Community Men’s Healthy Weight Management Programme, which since its launch in 2015 has seen 127 males lose 76 stone and 3lbs!
The donation from BoohooMAN towards the project will allow for all employees at the Burnley based factory to access the programme as well as provide participants with kit, equipment and the tools needed to maintain a healthy weight once the 12 programme has drawn to a close.
Abby Turner, Active Clarets Manager at Burnley FC in the Community commented “A healthy workforce is a happy workforce and this programme will engage those employees who want to shed a few pounds and live a healthier lifestyle in a fun way.
It’s great to see a large employer such as Boohoo put some resource into looking after the health and wellbeing of their staff and I’m sure there will be some benefits in terms of reduction in sick days and productivity as well as being a morale boost for those involved”
Boohoo have also invested in the old library in UCFB, which will see the space transformed into the Boohoo Lounge on match day and be used by some of the near 1000 employees currently employed by the online retails giant.
