Burnley-based Crow Wood Leisure plans to spend £2m extending its spa and ‘wellness centre’.

The £10 million leisure complex, which already boasts an Olympic-standard equestrian centre, could receive two additional indoor pools and an outdoor salt water lagoon and pool with hot tubs and a beach hut/bar area.

Andy Brown (pictured) the managing director of Crow Wood Leisure said: “Set in Crow Wood’s 100 acres, the new spa will cover around 20,000 sq ft over two floors and will offer a dedicated high quality lounge and bar, numerous relaxation areas and an outdoor terrace with beach hut and hot tub experience.”

He added: “We’ve budgeted at just over £2m and hope to have the facility open in early 2013 creating a minimum of 15 new additional jobs.”

Earlier this year Crow Wood launched a new dedicated soccer centre, ‘Soccer Burnley’, and a new £1.5m equestrian centre.
