The InBusinessBurnley magazine forms part of the larger campaign to promote Burnley to encourage further economic growth, attract new investment and to secure the long term prosperity of the borough. The magazine celebrates the success of Burnley’s businesses and promote’s Burnley’s positive business environment. With each edition the magazine has grown in pages and in distribution. Once again our successful businesses are featured showing the diversity of businesses we have here, from successful logistics business K2 benefitting from Burnley’s central location, to Europe’s leading manufacurer in plastic household products -a company so successful it features on the Prime Ministers MADE IN BRITAIN list of companies. We are also delighted to announce in this edition the relocation of rapidly expanding high technology company, Velocity Composites, who will be moving their research, development and production headquarters, into a purpose buildt 20,000 sq.ft.  futuristic design and build facility on Burnley’s new Technology Park.

Membership of Burnley’s business consortium, Burnley Bondholders, features heavily in this edition. The scheme is an innovative and powerful network of organisations who believe what is good for Burnley is good for business. Bondholders believe more of the right people need to know about our world-class aerospace industry; our new schools, colleges and universities; and nationally significant industrial heritage and breathtaking countryside.

This edition highlights Burnley’s business success not only on a local and regional stage but on a global platform. It reflects our strong manufacturing businesses producing a diverse range of products from jet engines taking our airlines into the skies; products for the London 2012 olympic village; to packaging products on supermaket shelves. This edition also features how our top manufacturing businesses are working to re-ignite an enthusiam for manufacturing in our younger generations.

The first edition of InBusinessBurnley, a new magazine to celebrate the success of business in Burnley, promote the town’s positive business environment, and keep our businesses and investors  informed of business support initiatives and new developments underway. Business fuels our economy and is linked to perception of place and this magazine reinforces Burnley’s strong business ethos. Featured in the first edition is Oscar winning AMS Neve, designers and manufacturers of the world’s most powerful digital sounds engines, used across the globe to mix the sound on blockbuster oscar winning movies.
