More than just a Business Park
The unique 5 acre Knowledge Park is being promoted through a partnership between Burnley Borough Council, University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Burnley College and the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA).
The establishment of the Knowledge Park alongside the education campus, will mean businesses can benefit from close collaboration, research and knowledge transfer with UCLan and the advanced manufacturing centre – ensuring that they make the most of the regions established advanced manufacturing, ICT and knowledge industry sectors. In addition to these extensive connections, added benefits include tailored business support packages; high tech facilities offered at the Media Access Bureau; and the CADCAM product design services. The Knowledge Park will deliver the vision to ‘promote a sustained change and uplift in the composition and performance of the business base in Pennine Lancashire’, and:

- ensure the local population has the skills to develop enterprises and support the growth of knowledge based businesses
- ensure the appropriate infrastructure and support services are in place to support this sectoral change and enterprise growth
