VEKA hold Fun Day to celebrate 30 years in Burnley

The VEKA UK Group opened its doors for a fantastic family fun day to celebrate the company’s 30th year of manufacturing in the UK.

More than 400 people attended and children (and big kids) were welcomed to have their faces painted and try their luck on the raffles, tombola and bucking bronco! There were bouncy castles, sweet stalls, a penalty shoot out, a live band and even a visit from Burnley FC’s Bertie Bee.

MD Dave Jones was pleased to see so many families at the event. “The Fun Day was a great success, and was our way of thanking our staff for all their hard work. The mood was celebratory and there was lots for people to do… and lots to eat! Plus, we raised over £1000 for Derian House Children’s Hospice in the process.

“As a company, we are proud to lead the industry in our field, but we wouldn’t be able to provide the great products and service we do, without the commitment of all our staff. It’s a pleasure to celebrate 30 years at the heart of Burnley’s Business Community.”

The German-owned VEKA Group opened a PVC-U profile plant in Burnley in 1986, with just four extrusion lines. The VEKA UK Group has now grown to become one of Burnley’s biggest employers with around 400 staff and 34 extrusion lines!

Proudly named Burnley’s ‘Business of the Year’ for two years running, The VEKA UK Group is also the country’s biggest supplier of PVC-U profile for high quality windows and doors.
