Curzon Street

Burnley is one of the principle retail, leisure and service centres in Lancashire with 395,000 residents in a 20 minute drive time extending into West Yorkshire and the Ribble Valley. The Council is seeking a development partner or purchaser that will generate a long term freehold income whilst delivering a high quality architectural statement and a scheme that will significantly enhance Burnley Town Centre’s Retail and Leisure offer.

Curzon Street site is a prime location between Burnley Knowledge Quarter and the Charter Walk shopping centre with access from the M65 junction 10 and 11.

The site is ideally located on key gateway into the Town Centre with frontage to Active Way and Curzon Street. The site sits adjacent to the Burnley Knowledge Quarter with its £90m Burnley College and UCLAN campus with 3000 students and a new Business Park Development.

The site is adjacent to the Charter Walk Shopping Centre and Multi-storey car park. Other surrounding uses include an Aldi Supermarket, The Range and Anchor retail park.

The site is wholly owned by Burnley Borough Council.

The site was previously occupied by a Co-op supermarket and is currently used as a pay and display car park.
