Vision Park


Burnley Council, its  delivery partner Trebor Developments LLP as well as the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Burnley College and the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) are working together to develop a brand new 2 hectare ‘Vision Park’ in Burnley’s Knowledge Quarter.

The establishment of the Vision Park alongside the education campus, will mean businesses can benefit from close collaboration, research and knowledge transfer with UCLan and the advanced manufacturing centre – ensuring that they make the most of the regions established advanced manufacturing, ICT and knowledge industry sectors.

The Vision Park will deliver the vision to ‘promote a sustained change and uplift in the composition and performance of the business base in Pennine Lancashire’, and:

  • generate and attract higher value service sector and manufacturing employment
  • ensure the local population has the skills to develop enterprises and support the growth of knowledge based businesses
  • ensure the appropriate infrastructure and support services are in place to support this sectoral change and enterprise growth

  • outline planning permission for up to 130,000 sq.ft. of development
  • phased developed of a mix of high quality work space and office units available on both a leasehold and freehold basis
