This week we’re looking forward to the return of a major event for Padiham, ‘Painting Padiham’. There will be a trail of over 50 artists this Saturday, 12 May from 8am-6pm painting their own view of Padiham, from Memorial Park all the way to Gawthorpe Hall. A free vintage bus will transport you between the town centre and Gawthorpe Hall between 10am and 3.30pm.
Creative workshops are available for all age groups at Gawthorpe Hall, Padiham Library and the Picture House Gallery, where you can create your own artwork inspired the surroundings. There will also be musical performances and it promises to be a great day out.
The artists are in competition and the pieces will be available to view and buy from 26th May at the Picture House Gallery. There is also a children’s competition for under 16s if you’d like to submit an entry.
