Wild wild aboutAbout Burnley: A brand new natural history gallery is open at Towneley Hall where everyone can come along to get up close and personal with Burnley’s wildlife.This fascinating ‘Wild About Burnley’ exhibition focusses on the natural world around Burnley and includes creatures from the halls historic wildlife collection, live cameras in bird boxes and feeders, The chance to find out about life on the River Calder.  Monday – Thursday: 12.30pm-17.00 and Saturday- Sunday: 12.30pm-17.00pm.


towneley01Brass in the Parks With The East Lancashire Concert: The annual season of Brass Band Concerts takes place in Towneley Park on the 7th June.  Attracting both local and nationally known bands. Burnley Council are proud to present to you, The East Lancashire Concert Band in concert. Their highly entertaining concerts feature a variety of styles. A great way to welcome the Summer at Towneley Park.

drop the beatDrop the Beat -The Drop the Beat festival is set to bring house music back to Burnley with a big festival in Towneley Park. Around 2,000 dance music fans could flood the park for the one-day event in front of the historic Towneley Hall. 14th – 15th August.




FireworksTowneley Bonfire – 5th November Burnley Council is holding a community bonfire and firework display at Towneley Park. A chance to enjoy an organised event in safe surroundings. As well as the bonfire and fireworks, there will be a funfair and catering.
