Burnley Mechanics is a perfect venue which features removable seats and is fully accessible. The venue has state of the art lighting, state of the art sound facilities, two bars, a main theatre, the front room (for more intimate, audience centred performances), a Basement Studio, Bistro and meeting rooms.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth opened it in 1986 to showcase the very best in entertainment and special events. The theatre has seen some spectacular talent over the years including: The Osmonds, Toploader, Patty Smith, Marillion, Buddy Guy, G4, Eddie Izzard, John Bishop, Alan Carr, Lee Nelson, Tim Vine, Hull Truck Theatre and plenty more.
The Front Room
In 2015, this exciting performance space underwent some major refurbishment. The transformation aims to create a “home away from home” environment which boasts the perfect atmosphere for niche performances and upcoming artists.
There’s been Folk artists like John Smith and Steve Tilston; there’s been blues rock bands like Willie and the Bandits, Aynsley Lister and Ferocious Dog; there’s also been comedy from the likes of Barbara Nice and hilariously funny, interactive comedy dinner shows like Allo’ Allo’ and Fawlty Towers.
Our partnership with Culurapedia constantly works to provide you with the greatest Front Room shows possible.
