Its expertise lies within the oil and gas sector where the company applies its specialist coating technology to major on and offshore pipelines across the globe.
The core strengths of the business are safety leadership; bespoke engineered services; project management, supply chain management and technical support services, all of which are deployed on up to 40 projects per annum, globally.
In addition to its UK HQ, the company has offices in Australia, South Africa, USA, UAE and Europe, enabling it to service its customers to the highest standard.
PIH recently won the ‘Burnley Business of the Year 2019’ and ‘Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year’ awards at the prestigious Burnley Business Awards. It has also been recognised by industry body, the EIC (Energy Industries Council) at a ceremony held in London in September 2019. The company won the ‘Diversification’ award for its ability to adapt to challenging marketing conditions, and ‘Company of the Year 2019.’
2018 marked PIH’s 30-year anniversary in the town, and it was awarded with the Council’s Long-Standing Contribution to Burnley Award, presented to the company’s Managing Director, Paul McShane by the council leader and chief executive.
PIH is passionate about supporting up and coming talent and partners with Burnley college for its apprenticeship scheme, as well as sitting on the college’s Engineering Board. A number of employees began their careers as apprentices within the company and are now working on multi-million-pound projects across the world.
