Burnley businesses have entered in their droves for the Burnley Business Awards 2022, which will be held at Towneley Hall on 30th June.
The 11 categories proved popular with the borough’s business community and the deadline has now passed and preparation for the shortlisting and finalist presentations well underway.
Judges from the category sponsors and independent third parties will gather at the end of April to whittle down the huge volume of entries.
Mick Cartledge, chief executive at Burnley Council, which is leading the event, said: “We expected the awards to be popular after a hiatus due to COVID. I can exclusively reveal that the small business categories (split into up to 19 employees and 20-49 employees) were once again the most popular – the judges for those categories certainly have a large but exciting job on their hands!
“It’s testament to the hard work and resilience of our business community over the past two years and I’d like to thank Burnley businesses for their commitment and perseverance.
“All the best to everyone who entered and we look forward to seeing who has made the shortlist, as well as celebrating the borough’s determination on the night of the awards.”
