Burnley Campus opened its doors on Saturday to host a 10 year celebration event. The community fun day was organised by the award winning Social Enterprise in recognition of 10 years of operation at the heart of the community. All partners on the co-located campus; Thomas Whitham Sixth Form, Barden CP School, HollyGrove School, Reedley Hallows Nursery, the neighbourhood centre and Libray all worked together to ensure that the event was a huge success with over 2000 people attending.
Dionne Swift, Director and Founder of the Social Enterprise said “We wanted to celebrate 10 years of being here together at the Campus and we couldn’t think of a better way to do this than with our children, families, staff and local community. This is the biggest event that we have ever run and it was amazing to see everyone having such an amazing time together. The event was themed around families and we wanted to build on the already strong community engagement links we have with our community. We would like to thank all the businesses, organisations that supported and attended the event and in particular Burnley Tool Hire, UCLAN and KQF for their kind donations”
The event included a hot air balloon, fairground rides, treasure trails, food stalls, craft stalls and much, much more. The Campus is very much looking forward to the next 10 years and has very exciting plans for the future.
