Titan the Robot in front of Burnley College Audience

Countdown starts to Burnley College’s exciting free Science and Technology Festival

Don’t miss your chance to discover the amazing world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths – and have a great family day out – at Burnley College on Saturday, June 29, from 10am to 3pm.

The college’s very own, unique Science and Technology Festival has become a key event in the calendar for families across the North West  and this year promises to be even bigger and better than ever, with lots of ground-breaking activities and fascinating displays.

Our popular festival, back for its fourth year, promises an exciting range of live experiments, hands-on activities and fun games to appeal to young and old alike, with experts on hand to explain the science behind the fun.

Among the many unusual attractions and fun-packed activities will be opportunities to:

  • Meet Titan the Robot – back by popular demand
  • Create and launch your own rocket
  • Make your own Alien Slime
  • Enjoy Virtual Reality experiences
  • Build your own Solar System
  • Join the Mini Beast Hunt
  • Build and program Lego robots.

Plus, in addition this year, parents will be able to access the very latest advice from experts from British Cycling on how to help their child learn to ride a bike, using fun activities to make the science of cycling
