Key Stage Three students from Hameldon Community College took part in a magnificent day out at the Lancashire Science Festival hosted by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) at Preston.
Janine Nicholas, specialism manager at the school, said: “The students were able to meet scientists and engineers from a vast variety of companies on the show floor.
“Here they enjoyed winning prizes and taking part in lots of hands on activities.
“The theme this year was ‘Space’ and our students thoroughly enjoyed getting to grips with new knowledge on the psychology of space travel and adventures in space.
“This was all rounded off with a fantastic defying gravity stunt show.
“The students found the day both fun and educational.
“We would like to thank UCLan for putting on a tremendous event for the young people.”
