EFS Global has expanded with the acquisition of PDQ Specialist Courier Services.
PDQ – which is headquartered in Bromborough and has operations in Buckinghamshire, Alderley Edge and Cork – was established in 1998 and works across the pharmaceutical, hazardous and medical professions with a range of highly specialist temperature controlled products
The deal is part of Burnley-based EFS’ ongoing growth and acquisition strategy, building on its existing portfolio of eight depots and offices across the country.
A team at Davis Blank Furniss advised EFS Global on all aspects of the purchase, including legal due diligence and transactional matters. The team was led by Sonio Singh, a partner in the corporate department.
Mark Jones, managing director of EFS Global, said: “PDQ is a great addition to the EFS Group and we are delighted that Brian and Amanda Brennan – long-term directors of the business – will be carrying on steering the firm into the future.
“It really is a case of business as usual for PDQ’s staff and clients but with the added benefits that come with being part of one of the UK’s leading freight and haulage companies.”
“This deal is another milestone for EFS Global as it further strengthens its position and reach in the freight and haulage sector.”
